A few years ago, prior to the pandemic, UVSS Founder John Marshall noticed how many paper towels pile up in (and around) the bathroom trash can. Not just at home, but at his office… in fact every public restroom he’s ever been in. One day he had an epiphany… what if you could sanitize a doorknob after each use?! After a year of research, John approached a group of three engineers who were determined to solve the problem. The result of that was the birth of the Elevator Attendant™. The product consists of t UV light fixture that mounts on the elevator panel. Due to the safety concerns of UV light, a motion sensor turns off the device when someone goes to push a button… It then turns back on between use. Also since it is angled down, the light will not shine in anybody’s eyes. The Elevator Attendant is the first in a division of other self-sanitizing products UVSS is excited about developing. This includes Door Handles, Crosswalk buttons, ATM pin pads, and many other publicly shared touch-surfaces.
